Bank Robber, 60, Sentenced To Five Years In Federal Prison

A 60-year-old Merriam, Kansas man has been sentenced to nearly five years in a federal penitentiary for bank robbery and counterfeiting.
Officials say Thomas Crowl robbed a bank in Overland Park last October. That robbery was foiled because employees set off a silent alarm as he was entering the bank. They recognized him from security photos taken during previous robberies.
When federal officials searched his home they found more than 96-thousand dollars in counterfeit currency.
Crowl pleaded guilty tot he charges earlier this year. |
